Hanx for stopping by!
In the fall of '95, I was searching the Web for information on SLF's US tour, and finding nothing. I decided they needed a Web site. I phoned Dolph Taylor, (then drummer of SLF,) whom I'd never met, and told him my idea. He said, "Well, it couldn't hurt, could it." And with that inspiring mandate, I set out to create this site. It was launched on February 16, 1996. Ha! was Dolph wrong! Little did a know that almost ten years later, I'd end up married to one of these guys!

Along the way I've met so many wonderful people: Jack Rabid, Bobby Weeks, Matt Sandonato, Pam Cross, Darren Wood, Rob Hudgins, Sheryl, Wilber Wilson, Neil Rossetter, Ken Weingold, Louis Elovitz, John Roskruge, Baggy and the Baguettes, David Coulter, Stephen McGourty, Dave Hindmarsh, Ian Harper, my excellent friend Leo, Twizzy, Russell Emanuel, Paul Roper and the Roperettes, Howard Menzies, Kevin O'Dwyer, Ian Wilson, Dolphin Taylor, John Welch, Steve Jones, Alan Parker, Stevie Smith, Mark Patchel, Pauline Black, Nick Welsh, JJ Burnell, Dave Wakeling, Roddy Radiation, Bruce Foxton, all the wonderful people in the Roaring Gang and the Flag and Emblem -- and of course -- those fellows in the photo. It is truly a pleasure to know you all.

Why did I create this site? See the lyrics to She Grew Up.

All the best,

Shirley Sexton

Problem with a on-line store.

Hi,

My name is Luis David Andrades Arias. My favourite band are SLF. I ordered on 20/09/08 the following in the SLF on-line store:

Order number: 316364.

Product: SLF32 Artist: Stiff Little Fingers Item: Baseball (Green) Size: ONE SIZE x 1 Price: EUR18.00

Product: SLF37 Artist: Stiff Little Fingers Item: Cube Logo (Army Green) Size: L x 1 Price: EUR22.00

Product: SLF51 Artist: Stiff Little Fingers Item: Hanx Logo Beanie Size: ONE SIZE x 1 Price: EUR15.00

Subtotal: EUR55.00 Post/Packing: EUR8.00 Order Total: EUR63.00

They also charged me 63 € to my bank.

I received ONLY a beanie hat which was incorrect. So I called their sevice telephone number in London and I called to someone called Jason. He asked me to return the incorrect order, and that he would cover the postage costs. He guaranteed that I would receive the correct order (including the 3 things I originally ordered) but, I RECEIVED ANOTHER ONLY ONE AND INCORRECT ITEM (a beanie hat only), and also, I didn't receive the postage cost of returning the incorrect item as primised.

Could you please help me resolve this in sending me what I ordered originally.

Regards, Luis David Andrades Arias.

This year is the 30th anniversary of the first rock against racism carnival in London - the one in which Tom Robinson Band, Steel Pulse, Xray Spex, Clash, Jimmy Pursey etc performed. Love Music Hate Racism are marking this with a carnival on Sunday 27 April combining a number of the acts from the first time round with new acts such as Babyshambles, Roll Deep, Hard fi to give impetutus to campaigning against the nazi British National Party. Visit www.lmhrcarnival.com for details - I remember SLF giving great help to Rock Against Racism campaigning against the nazi National Front, I hope you can show some support, even if it is from far away, to the carnival.

Hi Shirley Am liking the new web site look - left my comments elsewhere in the FLAG - like most people i'm happy in the FLAG cos its nice and warm and cosy and welcoming but that said there are plenty other forum options elsewhere that give imho the same types of features everyone wants. One I use for my football team (it uses a round ball - ask jake )does notify when people post a reply, you can subscribe to threads etc etc

anyway onwards and upwards hoping to hit ireland in June and then edinburgh in oct/sept

Was wondering why the site was down when I tried to access it last night; EXCELLENT surprise to see what you have been up to here, very nice looking website (not that the old one wasn't nice looking either). Have fun down under.

Hi Shirley

Great looking new board, have been a lurker up til now but plan to join in the fun on the message board. The new format is far better than the old (has to be really the old one is years old) and I like the message board format as it is one I'm used to and is used all over the net.

Will there be a US tour sometime soon?
